We’re talking several days of steady rain, so grab your cozy drink and let’s see what’s happening around town despite the drizzle.

The Weekly Crave
Marilyn’s Mediterranean Kitchen - A Simi Comeback Story

Few local restaurants have had a journey quite like Marilyn’s Mediterranean Kitchen. Back in May 2020, this cozy spot on East Los Angeles Ave closed its doors, a heartbreaking decision brought on by pandemic restrictions that made dine-in service nearly impossible for such a small space.
Fast-forward to today, they’re back! 🎉And so are their gyros, shawarma plates, and pitas with hummus (amongst other favorites)!
Marilyn’s has officially reopened with a fresh, simplified menu, new ordering setup, and the same amazing flavors that made it a Simi favorite. Just thinking of the baklava already has my mouth drooling!
Stop by and show some love to a true local comeback story.
📍 2810 E Los Angeles Ave (Sycamore & Los Angeles in the Ralph’s Center)
💛 Welcome back, Marilyn’s — Simi’s missed you!

The Local Topping
💧Proposed Water Rate Adjustments
The City of Simi Valley and Ventura County Waterworks District No. 8 are proposing 3.5% annual water rate adjustments over the next five years to keep our water system reliable and fund critical upgrades.
The increases will help replace aging water mains, upgrade pump stations, and improve key infrastructure, ensuring Simi’s water supply stays sustainable and dependable.
📅 A public hearing will be held Monday, Nov 17 as the City Council reviews the proposal.
Residents are encouraged to share feedback and learn more about how these adjustments compare with neighboring communities.
