Simi Scoop – Nov. 27th - 30th | Thanksgiving Weekend in Simi
Your guide to live music, local events, and where to be this weekend in Simi.

Good morning, Simi Valley!
From all of us here at the Simi Scoop, we want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for all of you and your support. There is plenty happening around town this extra-long weekend!
Let’s jump in:

You’re invited to celebrate Dr. Prince’s birthday at ReEnvision Aesthetics & MedSpa in Simi Valley. Join us on December 6, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM at 2650 Jones Way, Suite 8, Simi Valley, CA 93065. Treat yourself like royalty—come for a day of pampering, special offers, and celebration. We’d be honored to have you celebrate with us!
PS…our Black Friday sale is also in effect November 24th to December 1st - 15% off on ALL services!

Main Scoops

Kick off Thanksgiving with a fun & festive 5K at Rancho Simi Park. It’s flat, fast, family-friendly, stroller-friendly, and the perfect excuse to eat everything in sight later.
Runners, walkers, kids, grandparents, and dogs all hit the Arroyo bike path at 8 AM sharp for one of Simi’s most beloved holiday traditions. No race-day registration, so plan ahead.
Start your day with sweat → finish it with pie. That’s the balance we like.

Underwood Family Farms turns into a full holiday wonderland starting Nov 28, and it’s one of the most wholesome, can’t-miss traditions in Ventura County. Wagon rides, farm animals, holiday photo ops, Santa visits, festive activities, and enough Christmas charm to make even the Grinchiest dad smile, present company included.
Kids can slide down tractors, write letters to Santa, explore the farm, and catch animal shows. Weekends bring even more fun, holiday trains, crafts, reindeer cameos, and “California sleigh rides.”
If you want a family holiday day trip that feels magical (and gets the best photos of the season), this is it. One of my favorite Christmas traditions!

The Weekly Crave

If cooking isn’t in the cards this year, The Junkyard Café has Simi covered with one of the most welcoming Thanksgiving spreads in town. They open bright and early at 7 AM, but the real feast begins at noon, when their scratch-made holiday plates start rolling out.
Expect the full traditional lineup: roast turkey with giblet gravy, homemade stuffing, candied yams, green bean casserole, real mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and a warm roll with creamery butter. Dessert is a battle between pumpkin pie and their famous bread pudding with “yum sauce.” So if you’re looking for the traditional Turkey Day meal without the hassle and mess, head over to Junkyard!
Quick Details:
• Open 7 AM – 8 PM
• Thanksgiving dinner starts 12 PM
• Reservations for large parties only
• Takeout/delivery: 805-520-5865

The Local Topping

Think of it as holiday shopping… without the holiday spending.
The pop-up runs two days only inside Suite 240 at the Simi Valley Town Center — right between Tilly’s and the Skateboard Hall of Fame, just a short walk from Santa’s photo area.
Event Times:
• Nov 30: 2 PM – 6 PM
