Simi Scoop – Nov. 6th - 9th | Giddy-up at Reagan Library
Your guide to live music, local events, and where to be this weekend in Simi.

Good morning, Simi Valley!
November is fully upon us. The Halloween decorations are up in the rafters. I already heard my first Christmas song on the radio. And once again, the Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series Champions!
Let’s jump in:

.
Main Scoops
🤠 Cowboys: History & Hollywood (Reagan Library)

Saddle up, Simi-
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library’s brand-new exhibition Cowboys: History and Hollywood lets you step into the boots of America’s most enduring icons.
This one-of-a-kind show explores how real ranch hands and Hollywood heroes helped shape the cowboy as a symbol of grit, freedom, and self-reliance. Wander through authentic 1800s gear, legendary saddles and six-shooters, and even modern-day cowboy tech like a helicopter used to herd cattle.
🎬 Movie fans will spot iconic costumes and props from Yellowstone, The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, Back to the Future Part III, Nope, and Annie Get Your Gun, plus personal artifacts from John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Roy Rogers and President Reagan himself.
🪶 Whether you grew up playing cowboy or enjoy watching them on the silver screen, this exhibit ropes together real history and pop culture.
📍 Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum

The Weekly Crave
🍔 Rock N Roll Café Simi

If you like your burgers with a side of electric guitar, this is your spot. 🎸
I’m a sucker for its rock-themed décor, hearty burgers, and community engagement. Rock N Roll Café has been fueling Simi Valley since 2011 and my 7 year old gives this place 5 stars!
Lunchtime at RnR Cafe brings burgers, melts, and sandwiches stacked so high they deserve a standing ovation, all served by a crew that treats everyone like a regular. And for an encore, follow up your burger and fries with a classic malt, feeling like its the summer of 1985 all over again!
My go to order: the Pineapple Burger with Crinkle Cut Fries!

Simi Fun Fact: Did you know parts of Simi Valley were once home to some of Hollywood’s most famous cowboys? 🐎
Before housing tracts and shopping centers, our valley’s rolling hills doubled as the Old West for classic films and TV shows like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and Rawhide. Corriganville Movie Ranch (now Corriganville Park) hosted legends like John Wayne, Roy Rogers, and Clint Eastwood — all riding through Simi long before the freeways arrived.

Your Thursday wake-up call for everything Simi — events, music, and more.
