Good morning, Simi Valley!

Halloween’s here costumes, candy, and spooky fun! But as the pumpkins give way to peppermint, we’re already getting hints of winter, even if it’s 85 degrees outside. From trick-or-treating thrills to sledding chills, this week’s Scoop has it all, plus a few sweet surprises to kick off November.

🎃 Main Scoops 💀

Friday, Oct 31 • 3 PM – 6 PM
Trick-or-treat early and celebrate Halloween with this Simi Tradition! 🎃
For more than six decades, this beloved Youth Halloween Carnival has been bringing spooky fun to local families and year 64 is looking better than ever.

Expect a jam-packed afternoon of inflatable games, carnival booths, hay rides, face painting, crafts, and costume contests. It’s a safe, family-friendly event where kids can show off their creative costumes, collect prizes, and enjoy the festive atmosphere without the nighttime rush.

Admission is only $5 per person, so round up the little ghosts and ghouls, throw on your best costumes, and head to Rancho Santa Susana Community Center for an afternoon full of laughter, candy, and memories that will last long after the pumpkin lights fade.

Sunday, Nov 2 • 10 AM – 3 PM
Get ready, Simi it’s snow in November! ❄️
SnowFest returns to Rancho Madera Community Park, transforming the park into a winter wonderland right here in town. Kids (and let’s be honest, parents too) can race down real snow sledding hills, build frosty creations in the snow play zones, and enjoy a full day of chilly fun without leaving Simi Valley.

You’ll also find local vendors, kids’ attractions, and food trucks serving up warm bites and sweet treats to keep you fueled. It’s the perfect kickoff to the holiday season and a favorite annual tradition for local families.

🎟️ Wristbands are $10 per person, and pre-ordering online means you can skip the line and head straight to the snow! Bring gloves, your camera, and your holiday spirit, it’s going to be snow much fun! (Sorry, I had to.)

The Weekly Crave

🍬 Dr. Conkey’s Candy & Coffee

Halloween week calls for a sugar rush and nobody does it better than Dr. Conkey’s Candy & Coffee in the Sycamore Village Shopping Center.

Part candy shop and part coffeehouse this local favorite invites you to “be a kid in a candy store again.” Step through the doors and you’re greeted with shelves of old-fashioned sweets, handmade chocolates, and Dr. Conkey’s famous homemade fudge that’s been fueling Simi’s sweet tooth for over four decades.

Need a caffeine boost to balance the sugar high? Grab one of their signature coffee drinks or snag a collectible Dr. Conkey’s mug to take home. Whether you’re on a trick-or-treat mission or just chasing nostalgia, this is the place to sweeten your week.
